I'm cheating on Facebook, and here's why you should have an affair too!

In the last while Facebook has become like a nagging partner, constantly asking more and more of me and then not putting out when I need some action. And what's more I feel like Facebook is prostituting itself!

Perhaps it is the endless stream of ads or the steady stream of asking for money. Perhaps it is that Facebook uses me over and over. Perhaps it is the fact that instead of privacy they again and again publicly air my dirty laundry.

Or perhaps I'm just bored!

Whatever the reason I'm having an affair. I may not divorce Facebook altogether but I am cheating. I'm spending less and less time at home and more "at the office".

Last week I decided to be experimental and here are the results of that crude experiment.

The results showed that there is a better fit for me, and I'd like to share them with you...

But first a warning, this may get a little dirty!

Why Adobe should abandon Apple

This may be a bit of a rant, but I have some thoughts on Apple and Adobe. Firstly I think that Adobe should abandon Apple. Yes Apple is a big client base to Adobe, but that that is the point.

Let me explain...

Firstly designers and artists have traditionally been big Apple users, from the beginning Apple had better and truer displays than any of their competitors, mainly because of sensible settings in the resolutions.

Of course Adobe produces the software for the same group of people. And so together Adobe and Apple have moved forward and built empires.

That was of course until Apple sent a warning shot by not allowing flash on it's iDevices...

And that is why Adobe should look at moving to a new market away from Apple. Adobe has the power to dent Apple now that it may not in the near future.

How can it do that? Let see...

Why should you use VCS when building a website?

Recently I was asked a question about why I insist on using a Version Control System (VCS) while building and working with a website. I decided to blog my answer as it may benefit others too.

While I don't consider myself an expert in VCS technology, I hope that others will get the gist as to why they should implement VCS in not just the website building and maintenance, but also in other areas of the business.

Ageless Internet

Recently while working on a web application for a more senior demographic with approximately 1500 regular users per month, some interesting statistics emerged that we were able to compare against our expectations. I thought it would be good to share this information with others.

Let me explain our what our expectations were...

So they found your website... Now what?

Why are you in business?

You may be like others in thinking - "It's because I want to live a lifestyle that suits me" or maybe because "I don't like working under a Boss who expects certain conditions that I don't agree with"

But in reality those and the many other "reasons" are simply a result that you're looking for.

Let me explain...
